UK-based British/Irish cinematographer/director Mark Warmington works internationally shooting documentary, commercial, narrative and music productions for film and television.
In 2020, Mark was chosen from a global field of applicants for admission to the American Society of Cinematographer's ASC Vision Mentorship Programme.
Since then, Mark has gone on to make his directorial feature film debut with a documentary titled Harder Than The Rock, which premiered at Sheffield DocFest 2024 and went on theatrical release in UK cinemas later that year, to acclaimed reviews, national press coverage and a place on the longlist for a 2025 Grierson Award. The film was picked up on acquisition deals with Sky and Arte and is available globally on various streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime, Tubi + Mubi.
Mark is currently in production on his second feature-length documentary.
“An infectiously engaging and very moving rhapsody for the groundbreaking rebels dubbed ‘the backbone of British reggae’.
A terrific doc that tells a story you can’t quite believe you didn’t know.”
